Muratpaşa
Cooperation between Kamianets-Podilskyi and the Muratpaşa Municipality of Antalya is a relatively new but promising area of the city community’s international partnership. An important milestone was the official signing of the Cooperation Agreement on 11 October 2025. The document was also approved by the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council in September 2025.
Signing of the Agreement and Establishment of the Partnership
The agreement between the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council and the Muratpaşa Municipality was prepared as a basis for developing long-term relations between the two communities. Official materials of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council identify tourism, recreation, culture, education, and the economy as the main areas of cooperation.
The Turkish side also recorded the conclusion of the respective agreement in the documents of the Muratpaşa Municipality. According to the municipality’s official records, Kamianets-Podilskyi and Muratpaşa signed the respective protocol/memorandum of understanding online.
Tourism and Recreation
One of the central areas of the partnership is tourism and recreation. Both communities have significant tourism potential associated with their historical heritage, architecture, and natural resources.
For Kamianets-Podilskyi, the experience of Muratpaşa as part of Antalya — one of Türkiye’s most renowned tourist destinations — is of particular interest. The parties are exploring opportunities to exchange experience in tourism management, the development of tourism infrastructure, and city promotion. For its part, Kamianets-Podilskyi can share with its Turkish partners its own experience in preserving and promoting its historic city.
Particular importance is attached to the development of recreational and health tourism. According to information provided by the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, the partnership is intended to help create conditions for this type of tourism and facilitate the exchange of relevant experience.
Participation of Muratpaşa Representatives in International Events in Kamianets-Podilskyi
The first practical contacts within the framework of the new partnership continued through the participation of Muratpaşa representatives in international events held in Kamianets-Podilskyi.
In particular, in 2026, Türkiye was represented at an international tourism forum in Kamianets-Podilskyi by Vural Korkmaz, Director of Foreign Affairs of the Muratpaşa Municipality (Antalya). During the forum, representatives of international delegations discussed the further development of cooperation and opportunities for implementing joint initiatives.
The participation of a Muratpaşa representative in the tourism forum was one of the first practical manifestations of the partnership following the signing of the agreement and created opportunities for direct professional dialogue.
Economic Cooperation
Another defined area of cooperation is economic interaction. The partnership creates opportunities for establishing contacts between business representatives, exchanging information on the economic and investment potential of the communities, and exploring prospects for implementing joint initiatives.
For Kamianets-Podilskyi, cooperation with Muratpaşa can be beneficial for expanding international economic contacts, presenting the community’s investment opportunities, and establishing links with Turkish businesses.

The existing agreements and initial practical contacts create favourable conditions for further deepening cooperation, expanding intermunicipal dialogue, and developing mutual ties in various fields.
