Włodawa

The partnership between Kamianets-Podilskyi and Włodawa was officially established on 14 July 2018, when representatives of the two communities signed a cooperation agreement. In the official documents of the City of Włodawa, Kamianets-Podilskyi is listed as an official partner, while the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council also includes Włodawa among the community’s international partners.

Cooperation between Institutions

An important feature of the partnership was that, alongside the intermunicipal agreement, direct contacts between institutions also developed. In 2018, cooperation arrangements were established between educational institutions in Włodawa and Kamianets-Podilskyi, as well as between medical institutions. This created opportunities for the exchange of experience, professional cooperation, and the implementation of joint initiatives.

Further Development of the Partnership

Cooperation continued in the following years. In the 2023 report on the state of the City of Włodawa, Kamianets-Podilskyi is officially listed among the city’s partners, while Włodawa continues to maintain international contacts through official visits, correspondence, meetings, and participation in international events.

In December 2024, the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council formally arranged a visit of its delegation to Włodawa, confirming the continuation of direct contacts and cooperation between the two communities.

The partnership between Kamianets-Podilskyi and Włodawa is an example of the consistent development of Ukrainian-Polish intermunicipal cooperation. The established ties contribute to the exchange of experience and the development of educational, cultural, social, and professional contacts between representatives of the two communities. The partnership has the potential for further expanding cooperation, launching new joint initiatives, and strengthening friendly relations between the Ukrainian and Polish communities.
