Project goal:
❑ To create a recreational and tourist complex with a number of infrastructure facilities on the basis of the Old Fortress Barracks, a state-owned historical and architectural monument of Ukraine.
❑ to provide health improvement services for people from all over Ukraine at the complex;
❑ to accommodate visitors and tourists to the city.

Balneological Potential of the Smotrych River Canyon
In the picturesque canyon of the Smotrych River, between the barracks of the Old Fortress and the main bridge “Steep Doe,” a deposit of highly mineralized bromine water was explored in the 1990s–2000s. This unique natural resource provides the foundation for developing a modern balneological resort based on the historical complex of the Old Fortress barracks.
